AIR TRANSPORTATION: we will provide one way tickets in the country . Also available is a Helicopter service from Bucharest International to Sibiu. Prices will be supplied by us upon request. International flights might be arranged by our partners as indicated for each program TRAIN AND COACH TRANSPORTATION: Presently driven Romania by own car is not suggested. In order to avoid inconveniences, the transfer from Budapest to Transylvania is provided by train or coach. The Romanian wagons are continuously improving their quality. HOTELS: All hotels are carefully selected. Accommodations are on a "run-of-the-house" basis. All hotels are subject to change. We reserve the right to substitute hotels of the same of similar category. MEALS: in the chosen restaurant we provide typical as well as international meals. SIGHTSEEING & EXCURSIONS: By regular motor coach service or other local conveyance with services of multilingual-speaking guides on request. You can book the tours presented in our programs or build yourself a new itinerary; in this case a confirmation is necessary in order to make sure that there are no changes. TRANSFERS: Transfer of passengers and luggage from/ to airports, train stations, bus stations and hotels. TRANSPORTATION: as specified in the final itineraries. CHILDREN: Children have to pay the full fare. For special groups please contact us for special prices and conditions. TARIFFS AND EXCHANGE FLUCTUATIONS: All the prices are set in dollars. Prices in other currencies are set according to the Romanian exchange rate. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS: Each passenger must be in possession of a valid passport and applicable visas. Passengers must check visa requirements with the Romanian consulates in their countries and obtain necessary visas prior to departure. Intertourism is not responsible for any delays , damages, losses, missed portions of tours or other missed services incurred by passengers who fail to obtain necessary travel documents. PRICES: Prices listed in our brochure or sites do not necessarily correspond to published rates of respective establishments and/or services. They include planning, communications and all other operational costs. Value Added Tax (VAT) is not included. REGISTRATION: Reservation for any program will be made according to prior contract. Reservation must be received 40 days prior arrival with a deposit of 30%. FINAL PAYMENTS: Requested 30 days prior arrival. Late payments may result in higher or additional charges. For groups, conventions, associations or special request, please contact us in advance and full payment will be due 60 days prior arrival. For total solar eclipse program as shown in the program CANCELLATIONS: Full refund (less out of pocket expenses) up to 8 days prior to arrival, 50% charges between 8 and 3 day, no refund after that time. For total solar eclipse program as shown in the program. Air cancellation charges will be incurred in accordance with the rules of individual airlines. Comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended. For special arrangements prior contacts with us will be observed. Refunds take approximately 8-10 weeks due to banking regulations. CHANGES: A handling fee of 20% will be charged for each deviation from the original reservation. REFUNDS ON LAND ARRANGEMENTS: once your trip has commenced, no refund can be given for any missed transfers, sightseeings, meals, accommodations, services or any voluntary absences from the itinerary. PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARDS: The local merchants are still reluctant to accept credit card payments. We therefore advise you to have a certain amount of cash. Contact us prior to arrival for up to date information regarding credit cards . RATES DO NOT INCLUDE: passport and visa fees, foreign airport taxes, excess baggage charges, baggage and personal insurance, laundry and valet service, liquors, wines, mineral waters, meals, sightseeing tours, excursions and other transportation not specifically included in the itineraries or shown as optional, special tips to hotel personnel, guides and drivers, and all other items and expenses of a personal nature not specifically mentioned herein. RESPONSIBILITY: The hotels and other suppliers providing services are independent contractors. Intertourism or its affiliates are not responsible for the negligent acts and/omissions of these independent contractors, their employees, agents, servants or representatives. Intertourism gives notice that in issuing tickets and coupons for travel conveyance or transport by any means, and in making arrangements for hotels and other accommodation, it is acting not as a principal but as an agent only for the companies, corporations or persons providing or offering the means of travel, conveyance or transport and accommodation and accordingly that Intertourism will accept no responsibility or liability in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay of irregularity however occasioned, sustained or suffered in or during any package, journey, trip or tour, or in the carrying out of any arrangements booked by or through them, and notwithstanding that their principal may be a foreign company, corporation or person that, Intertourism is not acting as an agent for the passengers effecting the bookings. Intertourism reserves the right to alter the printed itinerary or schedule and any feature thereof of any tour or trips as may be necessary with or without notice. It is understood by the customer that Intertourism shall not be responsible for any inconvenience or expense occasioned by such changes SPECIAL NOTE: These are the general conditions, but special arrangements will be made in a contract with travel agencies that will govern the relations between Intertourism and these travel agencies. These will be included in the programs made with above mentioned agencies The general conditions will be modified for all the programs for the total solar eclipse according to the special terms and disclaimer included on each program. Please see specially the chapters referring to registration, final payments, cancellation etc. SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR OUTDOOR TOURS Made up according to the stipulation of our specialized suppliers' conditions. They complete our general terms and conditions. Reservation (booking) and confirmation: your written reservation will offer us the premise of setting a travel contract. The travel contract is validates by the written confirmation sent by Intertourism Payment conditions: After having received the booking confirmation a deposit of 100 USD that is 250 USD for travel by planes will be made within 7 days after which the reservation is automatically canceled. The remaining amount of money will be paid latest four weeks before starting the journey, excepting the programs organized for the total solar eclipse for which the settle up time in May 31 Services: The range of services is showed/ set forth in our touristical programs' presentation ( detailed description and detail info) and in the information included in the booking confirmation of the journey. Connected (or auxiliary) agreements that would change the configuration of the journey as stipulated in the contract will be validated only by written confirmation given by Intertourism. Modification / alterations of services or prices: We reserve the right to make changes in services and prices due to objective reasons. Intertourism will immediately inform the clients about the changes that have occurred. If the price increases with more than 5% or if a major alteration of the services is made the client is entitled to cancel the contract without being charged with any penalties. Cancellation made by the client: the client may cancel the contract at any time before the date of beginning of the journey by a written declaration. Relevant in this sense is the date on which the cancellation is registered by Intertourism. The following cancellation penalties are valid:
For the programs organized for the total solar eclipse: up to June 1.........100 USD; after June 1 the penalties will be decided by Intertourism Cancellation made by Intertourism: a. In case that the minimal number of participants for a journey is not met, the journey can be canceled 14 days before the date of its beginning. In this case the entire price of the journey will be paid back to the client less a 10% processing charge. At request for a lesser number of participants a new price can be established. In such a case the client can also choose another of our programs still available at that time. b. we reserve the right to exclude those clients who do not fulfill the requirements of the journey ( for ex. walking without any problems, difficulties caused by physical or psychical / mental problems, inadequate outfit etc.) They can be excluded on the arrival to the place of destination or during the journey. May be also excluded those clients who, after having been instructed,, respectively after having been informed about the requirements set forth by the guides - still break certain rules ( for ex. smoking in the hay - shed, jumping in front of the raft, etc.) or constantly behave in a destructive way during the visited county or towards the other member of the touristical program. In these cases Intertourism is entitled to keep the full price of the journey. Braking of the contract due to special causes: In case of difficulties or dangers that might occur or the shortening of the journey caused by circumstances outside our control, both contracting parts are entitle to break the contract. Responsibilities: The clients take part to the journey at their own risk and they are personally and directly responsible for their physical integrity. Intertourism can be made responsible only for; - the thorough preparation of the journey - the strict carrying out of the services stipulated in the contract - the careful selection and preparation of the guides - the correctness / truthfulness of the information placed at the tourists' disposal Intertourism can not be made responsible for: -disagreement or bad functioning of the services offered by other suppliers as trains, plane, hotels etc. - the modification of the date of the journey caused by weather or by circumstances outside Intertourism's control Guarantees, the obligation of collaboration: In case that the services are not carried out as stipulated by the contract, the client may request the situation to be remedied, but at the same time he must avoid creating new damages, respectively he must collaborate at the maintaining at the lower level possible of the already created damages. The objections will be made in writing and handed to the guide. The guide are not authorized to deal with the clients' claims. The clients' claim will be registered in their written form within 4 week from the date of returning from the journey at Intertourism' s offices. The clients; claims loose their validity after 6 month time from the date of returning from the journey. Outfit - Equipment: All clients have to take care of the outfit ( tents, bicycles etc. ) placed at their disposal by the organizers. In case that the outfit is damaged by the client he / she will be charged for the necessary repairs or for the replacement of the outfit Regulations concerning passport, visas and health ( medical ) issues: The client is fully responsible for the non - observance of these regulations. Insurances: For your safety we recommend travel insurances ( for ex. in case of accidents, loss of luggage, illness etc) and especially insurance concerning the cancellation of the travel contract Invalidation: The invalidation of certain issues from the travel contract does not entitle the invalidation of the hole contract Litigations: The litigation that require legal competence will be solved at Intertourism office
