Rustic chalet in a fairy tale winter landscape For those who are looking for *** stars hotels, telecabs and discos... there is no use to read the following lines. But those who are looking for something special are exactly where they should be: the rustic and isolated chalet with simple rooms, common banks and a "bulky" terra - cotta stove in which healthy logs are crackling, emanating the alluring odor of resin... Instead of neon lighting - candle lights, sleepy winter activities on everybody's taste... Perhaps you have always dreamed about such a holiday: New Year's Eve in a dreamlike landscape, far away from everyday's hectic and stress. Our chalet is at an altitude of 1550 m in a fairy - tale = like glade, "locked" in the heart of a lofty spruce fir forest. It offers us exactly those things which we miss in our overmodernized everyday life ! It isn't connected to the electricity network, nor has it warm or cold water plumbing, there is no telephone and no satellite antenna... But, in exchange, we find here a pleasant atmosphere typical of the quiet and restful winter evenings. The chalet being the starting point, we outline a flexible activity program depending on the wishes of the participants. We are offering long and short walks, easy or quite challenging trips, sky tours, walks and trips by night guided by torchlight, snow - grotto and snow igloo building, winter camping, camp fire in the snow with wine and boiled plum brandy ... and many others. The evenings spent by the fire allure us to joy and good humor, to chalet games, all these after we have enjoyed the tastily specialities of the house. Those who want to try their hand at wood chopping have the possibility to do this providing the necessary firewood. Certainly, a few days can be spent simply by enjoying the pleasure of rest and relish at the chalet, reading for instance Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula". It goes without saying that we should not miss Sibiu - the cultural center of Transylvania - at the and of our program.
