THIRD DAY:

The Greatest Point of the total solar eclipse. We leave Bucharest for Ocnele Mari - the Greatest Point of the last total solar eclipse of the Millennium. Only few meters from the greatest point is the old citadel of Buridava of the Daces, the ancestors of Romanians. You can taste the water of the Daces well and admire the Cosota - a Daces cemetery, whose name means 'the place for final rest' We will stop at Horezu to admire the work of the Ceramics artisans (Vicsoreanu, Biscu, Iorga etc) working in their homes

FORTH DAY:

Sibiu. Morning walking city tour: we will visit the medieval area including Brukenthal Museum - art gallery. We will drive to ASTRA - open air museum of folk technology, one of the best in the world

Lunch in ASTRA old tavern After lunch we will visit a glass artisan - Ion Tamaian - at Selimber. At Cristian we will visit a fortified Church of a Saxon village.

We stop in Sibiel - a Romanian village near the mountains to visit icons on glass museum and to have

Dinner to the peasants. Back in Sibiu

FIFTH DAY:

Sighet. Leave Sibiu in the morning for Cluj the former Hungarian Capital of Transylvania

Lunch at Maestro restaurant

Continue in the afternoon to Baia Sprie Surdesti : Visit wooden church.

Arrive Sighet: Hotel Tisa 8 A.Muresanu

SIXTH DAY:

Maramures county. This morning we sightseeing the Maramures county: This part of the country is spectacular even for Romanians. Tradition is preserved to a very high degree in costumes and customs, architecture and the way of life. The high, gothic - looking, entirely wooden churches with wonderful delicate details put their imprint on Maramures's personality : Sapanta.

Botiza lunch with Iurca Family Tonight will be very special: we will stay at VAMA guest at the private homes of the villagers.

SEVENTH DAYS :

The North of Moldavia. You'll visit Bucovina's painted monasteries, dating from 15 th and 16 th centuries.: Sucevita Monastery , Moldovita Monastery where Sister Tatiana will give the background of the painted monasteries

Radauti: lunch near the market After lunch visit Colibaba's ceramic workshop and at Marginea the local black ceramic

Continue to Voronet: the most famous painted monastery on to Vatra Dornei and its Ethnographic Museum

Arrive at the center of forest in TIHUTA (Borgo Pass) in the evening Hotel Dracula's Borgo Castle

EIGHTH DAY:

Targu Mures. Leave Tihuta for Targu Mures: on the way stops will be made in Tureac : visit Bacea family - fine embroidery on sheepskin and at:

Bistrita: lunch.

After lunch visit the medieval area

Arrive in Targu Mures in the evening: Hotel Continental 6 Teatrului sqa.

NINTH DAY:

Sighisoara. Targu Mures : visit the Museum and old town

Continue to Sighisoara:
Lunch at Dracula's house
After lunch walk around the ramparts. Drive to Codlea:
Visit Nicolae Diaconu's pottery workshop famous for his 'clay' figurines
Arrive Brasov in the evening ARO hotel 27 Eroilor str

TENTH DAY:

Brasov. Morning city Sightseeing: Visit Piata Sfatului, the famous Black Church, Margareta Mina's workshop - paints wooden furniture

Our guides speak several languages: English, French, German, Spanish... but there will be no more than 2 languages spoken on the bus. Please let us know which languages you would prefer.
